What we use today

  • Local storage (not a cookie). When you dismiss the announcement bar, we store a single flag in your browser’s local storage so it stays dismissed on your next visit. It contains no personal information and is never sent to a server.
  • Strictly necessary. Our hosting provider may set essential cookies required to deliver and secure the Site.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools:

  • Vercel Web Analytics. A privacy-friendly tool that measures aggregate page views and events. It is cookieless, does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and does not track you across other websites, so no consent is required for it.
  • Google Analytics 4. Helps us understand how visitors use the Site, including behaviour and geography in aggregate. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_<id>) used to distinguish visitors and sessions. These typically expire up to two years after your last visit. We have configured Google Analytics with IP handling and Consent Mode as described below.

Your choices and consent

  • Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland. Google Analytics cookies are set only after you accept them in the consent banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, or before you choose, Google Analytics runs in a restricted, cookieless mode. You can change your mind by clearing this site's cookies and local storage in your browser, which brings the banner back.
  • Visitors elsewhere. Google Analytics is enabled by default. You can opt out at any time by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by clearing and blocking cookies in your browser.

Managing cookies
